Parenting and providing for aren't one and the same. Parenting is often looked at as something that involves a lot of giving. You need to give the baby a lot of time, give him a lot of attention, give him lots of love, and give him your legacy. What if I tell you it's not about giving but taking? We all lie on a daily basis. We do things that we aren't proud of. We give up a chance to help someone when we see one because we hardly have time for anything but us. We are jealous of our dear ones making it bigger than we ever could. We love making fun of people and their flaws. We locked up our morals in a rusty box on a distant island and threw the key away into the oceans long time ago. We reached a stage where we're so afraid of being all alone with ourselves for a while as it might give us time to reflect upon our lives and we know we're not gonna like what we see in there. We live a life that isn't exactly what we promised ourselves to have when we were kids back in the days. I believe babies are a second chance that we're given. A chance to make things right ; a chance to do it better this time and hurt lesser people in the process ; a chance to grow together as a community. Parenthood isn't about giving but taking a second chance to contribute to building a better society that we may not survive to witness but definitely will remain to be a part of. .
